Individual Development Account Program (IDA)

The Financial Health Program offers the Individual Development Account Program (IDA). This promising approach for asset building allows low-income families an option to save and accumulate financial assets. It offers low-income families to save for 200% matched fund return plus the interest they earn on their monthly IDA saving deposit. It provides low-income families to save for the purpose of paying for job training, higher education and buying a primary residential home. Achievements through saving for these purposes better family financial health and achieve financial and personal goals for low-income families. Our IDA Program offers:

  • One-on-One budget counseling
  • Asset-specific training
  • Debt management (as needed)
  • Account statements
  • Confidentiality
  • Matched Funds (200% on $1000 saving ceiling/account)

The IDA Program can help you realize your dream of homeownership, higher education or completing your job training. Participating and working with your Budget Counselor, you will also gain valuable financial management skills.
